Your house is still gone. The dragon sends you a strongly worded letter three weeks later reiterating that it was not responsible and requesting a formal retraction. You do not send one.

Gerald approves. Not of the dragon situation specifically. Just of you, generally. He always has.

You move in with the girl from the pub. She never believes that you slayed the dragon, but she lets you have your moment.
